The House
8 Rue des Parrets is a four-floor townhouse in the heart of Fréjus old town. It sleeps five across two bedrooms and works well for a couple, two couples, or a family — we’re a family of four and it’s perfect for us.
The house has the characteristic vertical layout of old-town Provençal properties, with each floor having its own distinct character and purpose. It’s naturally cool thanks to its sheltered position behind the cathedral and the old music school — you won’t miss air conditioning.
The floors
Ground floor — Bunk bedroom & utility
The ground floor bedroom has a double bunk bed (sleeping three: one adult double below, one single above) and a smart en-suite bathroom with both a bath and an overhead shower. The double bunk is genuinely comfortable for adults, not just children. There’s also a utility room on this level with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
First floor — Kitchen / diner
The kitchen and dining area occupy the whole first floor. The dining table seats five, and the kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, and an air fryer. Everything you need for self-catering.
Second floor — Living room & shower room
The living room is on the second floor, with a 55" smart TV loaded with all the main streaming apps — Netflix is included (login details on the info card in the room). There’s a separate shower room with WC on this level.
Third floor — Double bedroom
The top floor is the double bedroom, peaceful and private.

A note on the outdoor space
This is a town house in a medieval old town — there’s no garden, terrace or pool. What you have instead is a cobbled Provençal street straight out the front door, with some of the best beaches in the Var a short drive away.
The setting
The house sits in a narrow cobbled lane typical of the vieux village. The neighbours’ houses are the warm ochres and terracottas of Provence, with painted shutters and terracotta roof tiles. The exterior of number 8 is currently undergoing the town-wide re-rendering programme — it’ll look as good as its neighbours very soon.
